The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum sets out the requirements for study of the DP.
The curriculum is made up of the DP core and six subject groups.
Made up of the three required components, the DP core aims to broaden students' educational experience and challenge them to apply their knowledge and skills.

At Robinson...our students sit in a Theory of Knowledge course 2nd semester of their Junior Year, and 1st semester Senior Year. The students work through the required writings and presentations during their tenure in the class. Students must pass TOK to be eligible to receive an IB Diploma. Our School Counselor serves as the CAS Coordinator. She communicates the initial requirements and monitors the progress of the students throughout their high school career.
Required Courses for the Diploma Program
Students will be continuing in the classes they had their Junior year; taking part in 3 Higher Level (HL) courses and 3 Standard Level (SL) courses within the six subject groups.
Studies in Language and Literature
All students will be taking Language A: Language (HL)
Language Acquisition
Students will take either Language B: Spanish (SL) or Language B: French (SL)
Individuals and Societies
Students will continue with either History (HL) or History (SL)
Sciences
Students will continue with their Junior year science course in either Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Mathematics
Students will continue with their Junior year mathematics course in either Mathematics or Mathematical Studies
The Arts or IB Elective Choice
Students may have chosen to take part in Visual Arts, or take an additional Science or Individuals & Societies course.
Traditional Elective Options
All students will be placed in a JA (Study Hall). Students may use this 85 minute time to also take part in a traditional elective outside of the IB Programme. They will then have a mini-JA embedded within their schedule. Please use the list of traditional elective offerings to see what is offered at Robinson High School.
